This day is celebrated by Christians all over the world. Easter represents the possibilities of life and renewal in the wake of abuse and suffering.
The objective of the Trapped Flowers Exhibition is to use literary, visual, and musical art to stimulate discussions about the difficulties women face in modern society with a specific focus on physical and verbal abuse.
Expect to be both amazed by the beautiful and thought provoking pieces and fulfilled by the opportunity to support the Stewpot in its effort to help women escape the clutches of domestic violence.
The picture attached to this post is a painting by Bro. Shambe' Jones. This piece may be purchased from ARTichoke through the month of April. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Stewpot.
We look forward to seeing you at ARTichoke this Wednesday @ 5:30. Refreshments will be served.
